NYConvergence: Contributors
In addition to its editorial staff, NYConvergence content is also provided by freelance contributors who offer their own unique perspective on the news and events which they attend. You will find their biographies listed below.
- Amy Berryhill is a master's degree candidate at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. She has managed ecommerce and user registration projects for Conde Nast Digital and worked as an account manager for a search engine marketing start-up. Amy has a bachelor's degree in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
- Esther Surden has written about telecom, technology, emerging technology, and the business of technology for most of her 30-year career as a journalist. Her work appeared in numerous business magazines, newsletters and newspapers including ComputerWorld, Retail Information Systems News, Communications Business Daily , Vertical Application Reseller, Computer Reseller News, Mobile Internet Devices and Services, and Outlook on IBM, to name just a few. Currently Surden is pursuing a Masters in Publishing at Pace University. She is also author of the blog, Tech and the Baby Boomer which can be found at techandboomers.blogspot.com.
- Jim Flood has a master's degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism with a concentration in urban reporting. While in journalism school he covered his own neighborhood, Fort Greene, as an intern for The New York Times Brooklyn Local. Before starting grad school, he worked for 14 years in and around the financial services industry, beginning as a data analyst for Morningstar, then a marketing copywriter for T. Rowe Price and Morgan Stanley and finally spending several years as a freelance editorial consultant.
