Bell Brings Back the Dead with a High-Tech Piano

Classical violinist (and New York resident) Joshua Bell recently gave a nationally televised concert in which he performed with a revolving roster of musicians, including a performance with Sergei Rachmaninoff playing piano.  What makes this unusual is that Rachmanioff has been dead since 1943.

Bell's trick was pulled off with help from Zenph Studios, which reworked a Steinway piano to move its keys based on a data streamed from a computer that converted music from an old Rachmanioff recording.
