. NYC Council Speaker Promotes AIDS Awareness Online
NY City Council Speaker Christine Quinn is participating in a multimedia campaign which launches today and is aimed at "reminding people that the disease is far from conquered," joining hundreds of celebrities, community leaders, and others.
Quinn has recorded a short video for the campaign, timed to coincide with World AIDS Day, which will appear on a YouTube channel. According to am New York, organizers are trying to reach an audience that has few, if any, "memories of the devastation caused by AIDS in the 1980s and early 1990s"
