Fire Impacts Cable Service in Brooklyn, Queens

A fire, which a Time Warner Cable spokesperson told The New York Times' City Room blog was caused by an aerial electrical power line falling on the company's equipment, disrupted cable television service for customers in parts of Brooklyn and Queens earlier today.

The Web site adds that "baffled" Brooklyn and Queens residents were expressing their distress over Twitter while New York’s 311 service used its Twitter account to alert people about the service disruption.
