Barnes & Noble Experiencing a Nook Shortage

The New-York based bookseller said in a statement that "based on the high consumer interest, we've [Barnes & Noble] sold out of our initial nook allotment available for delivery before the holidays."  In the same statement, the bookseller added that "the earliest that anyone who orders the $259 [e-book reader] on Friday - or later - will receive it is January 4, 2010."

One nook is being given away at my website where all giveaway details can be found:

Great machine with lots of new features (dual screen, color, cover flow searching) but they definitely jumped the gun trying to launch for this holiday season.
