Hippeau Becomes HuffPo's New CEO
The Huffington Post has announced that Eric Hippeau, a New York based managing partner at investor SoftBank Capital and a member of the HuffPo board, will be joining the company as its new CEO.
Hippeau comes on board with an extensive tech and media background, as he was chairman and CEO of Ziff-Davis and is credited by SoftBank with being instrumental in its first investment in Yahoo in 1995.
He is also the director of the boards of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Buddy Media, BuzzFeed, Goodmail Systems, PureVideo, ThumbPlay and Associated Content.
