Searchable D'base of NYC Properties Possible
Bronx Councilman James Vacca's Intro 869, which has been introduced for consideration by the NY City Council, would establish a single, searchable database of all properties in NYC according to an article in the New York Daily News' print edition. Not only would the database allow for the monitoring of neighborhood trends such as foreclosures, it could also be used to identify negligent landlords and owners. No cost for building the database nor timeline for its creation has been offered yet while Vacca works to build support for the measure.
