Cell Phone Tower to Provide Service in Adirondacks

An approved Verizon cell phone tower by the Adirondack Park Agency will allow motorists on Route 73, which connects Lake Placid to the Adirondack Northway, to have cell phone service. The 79-foot tall tower will be built in the town of Keene and, according to Verizon, should be operating in the middle of 2009.
